MacBook Pros About to Ship, 'Jet White' iPhone 7?, Apple Slashes USB-C Accessory Prices - MacRumors

Anticipation is building as the first customers to place orders for the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar are starting to see their order statuses move to "Preparing for Shipment." That means shipping is imminent, so customers will soon be able to track their orders as they make their way to their new owners.

Despite some complaints about pricing and a lack of ports, we're continuing to see signs of strong sales for the new MacBook Pro, with Apple reportedly telling its suppliers to expect high order volumes heading into 2017 while Slice Intelligence has found the new MacBook Pro has already outsold all competing notebooks this year as measured by revenue.

Apple May Add 'Jet White' Color Option for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Apple Drops Prices of 4K and 5K LG Displays by 25 Percent
Just a week after the introduction of the new MacBook Pro accelerated the shift of the Mac ecosystem to the relatively new USB-C connector standard, Apple has already temporarily slashed prices on all USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 accessories, including cables, adapters, and even the new 4K and 5K displays from LG.

Price cuts on accessories range from about 20–50 percent and include both Apple and third-party products, with the LG displays seeing significant 25 percent drops. The discounted pricing is valid through December 31 as Apple seeks to assist early adopters in transitioning to the new standards.

iPhone SE Unlikely to Receive Refresh in Early 2017
Since March's introduction of the iPhone SE, fans of the 4-inch form factor have been wondering what Apple's plans are for the future of device. There haven't been any signs of an imminent update, and a new report from relatively reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will not be releasing a new iPhone SE in the first half of 2017.

Apple's iPhone sales received a boost following the launch of the iPhone SE, but Kuo predicts Apple will not use a similar strategy in 2017, instead putting pressure on its suppliers to reduce costs in an effort to boost profit margins on the iPhone 7 lineup.

Apple this week released new betas of iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2, watchOS 3.1.1, and tvOS 10.1, bringing a few new features since the first round of betas. iOS 10.2 in particular has seen some changes, led by the upcoming TV app that will bring together television content from across various apps, making it easy to find it all in one place. Apple is selling a number of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models in various colors and capacities, all of which are sold unlocked and SIM-free so they can be used with the carrier of your choice. The refurbished phones carry a roughly 15 percent discount compared to brand-new pricing, with 16 GB iPhone 6s models priced at $449 and ranging up to 64 GB iPhone 6s models at $589.
