In an apparent change of course, Apple has reportedly decided to
unveil its much-rumored wearable device, commonly called the iWatch, alongside the iPhone 6 at the company's September 9 media event. The move has been speculated to help position the iWatch as an
iPhone accessory rather than a standalone device. But while an unveiling may come sooner than originally thought, the iWatch will reportedly not begin shipping until possibly
early next year.
An early 2015 launch for the iWatch has been hinted by several supply chain rumors, including a
fresh one claiming the device is still in the "engineering verification" stage of development. Apple may or may not be ready to talk pricing at next week's event, but the company is said to be
weighing options in the $400 range, although cheaper models would be likely.
