With it all but confirmed Apple will be introducing the iPhone 6 at a
media event on September 9, leaks and rumors about the device continue to surface. One of the most interesting photo sets of the past week revealed a supposedly
finished iPhone 6 rear shell that includes recessed volume buttons and an embedded Apple logo that appears to be made of a "very extraordinary" scratch-resistant metal.
Other recent leaks have included the
front panel with display, the
rear shell with protruding camera ring, and
other minor parts including a new
round "True Tone" camera flash. Rumors have also included word of a
larger battery than previously reported, as well as a
detailed yet sketchy report outlining features such as 802.11ac Wi-Fi, near field communications (NFC), and improved Touch ID, but no sapphire display cover.
