Here Are the Green and Lavender Colors Rumored for 2019's iPhone XR
default.jpg Rumors suggest the 2019 version of the iPhone XR will be available in new Green and Lavender colors alongside White, Black, Yellow, and (PRODUCT)RED. Blue and Coral would be discontinued.

Here's what the new iPhone XR colors may look like based off leaked shards of glass.

Another leak suggests that all three 2019 models will feature a large square camera bump. The design might not end up being as polarizing as seen in renders, however, as rumors indicate that Apple will apply a special black coating on some lenses that could result in a more subdued appearance.

Supreme Court Allows App Store Monopoly Lawsuit Against Apple to Proceed
default.jpgIn a 5-4 ruling this week, the U.S. Supreme Court decided that a class action lawsuit regarding Apple's alleged App Store monopoly can proceed.

The lawsuit was filed in 2011 by a group of iPhone users who believe Apple violates antitrust laws by requiring apps to be sold in the App Store,. Essentially, the argument is that Apple's 30% commission leads to inflated prices as developers pass on the extra cost to consumers.

Importantly, the Supreme Court did not rule that the App Store is anticompetitive, but merely allowed the case to proceed.

Kuo: 2019 iPhones and New iPad Pro Models in Late 2019 to Early 2020 to Adopt New Antenna Technology
default.jpgApple is planning changes to the antennas inside 2019 iPhones, as well as two new iPad Pro models in either the fourth quarter of 2019 or the first quarter of 2020, so says reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

These changes will mostly benefit Apple in terms of production and cost, but it's the first time we've heard about upcoming iPad Pro models, which Kuo expects to have the same 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes as present.

Rumors overwhelmingly point towards the next iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max having triple-lens rear cameras, and the

Apple is accused of actively concealing the defect and failing to provide free repairs to affected customers outside of a brief period last year, thereby violating multiple California and Illinois consumer protection laws.

'iPhone XI' and 'XI Max' Leaks, Screen Time Controversy, Farewell Aperture - MacRumors

logo.png
New renders have surfaced that depict the tentatively named "iPhone XI" and "iPhone XI Max," providing a side-by-side comparison of what are expected to be the 2019 versions of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

The renders suggest that both new iPhones will feature a redesigned circular-shaped mute switch, similar to the one on older-generation iPads. The thickness of each device is also expected to increase very slightly, possibly to accommodate larger batteries and two-way charging.

While the camera bump is rumored to have a larger, square-shaped design, it appears to be less protruding, as the rear panel of each device is said to be formed out of a "single piece of glass."

However, in both an email response from Apple's marketing chief Phil Schiller and a subsequent press release, Apple indicated that it recently became aware that some parental control apps were using a technology called Mobile Device Management or "MDM" that puts users' privacy and security at risk.

In response, a handful of parental control app developers and former Apple executive Tony Fadell have called on Apple to make the APIs behind its Screen Time feature available for use in third-party apps.
