According to a new rumor, however, all of those advancements won't come cheaply, with Apple said to be considering charging in excess of $1000 for the phone. One analyst firm is reporting that Apple appears to be getting an earlier than usual start on production of this year's iPhone, although there are currently no signs Apple is planning to deviate from its traditional September launch. The earlier start to production may be related to all of the rumored changes for the upcoming phone, as there are undoubtedly some kinks to be worked out.
