We've been hearing rumblings for a while now about a revamped MacBook Pro with a new OLED "touch bar" replacing the traditional function keys along the top of the keyboard, and it's looking more and more like this update will indeed be arriving later this year. The latest rumors claim the
new MacBook Pro will be somewhat thinner and have a smaller footprint than the existing models, although the design will not be tapered like the MacBook and MacBook Air.
Other changes include Touch ID support, a slightly larger trackpad, USB-C support, a shift to AMD for high-end graphics, and perhaps new color options. Another report claims the MacBook Pro's Touch ID support will be
built into the power button.
The new MacBook Pro reportedly won't be launched at Apple's iPhone 7 event in September, so it's unclear whether Apple will be holding a separate event perhaps in October or if it will forego a media event introduction for the new notebook.
